About Me

Disposable email accounts self-destruct after a designated time and are really useful when you want to register an account for a website but don't want to hand over your real information. Yes and no. For most people, a free Gmail account is secure enough. Gmail users are protected from hackers through TLS encryption during data transfers, and industry-standard 128-bit encryption at other times. But as the old adage goes: when a product is free, you usually are the product. Google uses your data and exposes you to ad tracking, which means, yes, Gmail can be traced. So Gmail isn’t an ideal environment for sending anonymous emails. But how to send an anonymous email from Gmail if its standard security isn’t enough? You can easily create an anonymous Gmail account by providing fake information when signing up. But this anonymous Gmail can still be traced back to you using contact details used to set up the account, your browser fingerprint, or your real IP address, which could reveal your physical location.

Gmail uses a combination of rule-based filters and machine learning, most recently integrating TensorFlow-based AI into their spam filter. Let’s take a look at some of the factors that go into determining if your marketing emails go to spam. Gmail looks at both the domain and the IP address of senders when determining where to place an email. Gmail recommends setting up proper authentication for your outgoing email to make sure your messages aren’t blocked or filtered. Gmail’s algorithms appear to strongly weigh individual user actions in the inbox when deciding which emails to send to spam. What may be spam for you are promotions for me, and inboxed for someone else. To stop your emails from going to spam in Gmail, you’ll want to make sure you’re regularly cleaning your list of subscribers who never engage. You’ll also want to use a different engagement strategy for passive subscribers, or contacts who show lower levels of engagement. Continuing to use the same email flooding hackerone cadence as you use with your most active subscribers will increase the risk that Google will deem future messages as unwanted.

It’s in their best interest and yours. I was prompted to upgrade my browser from Internet Explorer 8 to 9. I’d rather not do this. Is there any way around those compatible browsers? For the best experience, you’ll need to be running the IE9 rather than your current browser. I’m sorry for any inconvenience that may cause. Please reply with any questions you might have. Explain why you only support specific browsers. But make sure to explain it in a way they can understand. Stay away from the "inconvenience" phrase. Right now, they can’t get to your app because they have an older browser. That’s not just inconvenient, it’s a flat out problem. It’s like being locked out of their car. Thanks for checking out my app! Our app was built to support modern browsers, so we dropped support for certain ones -- it just can’t provide the same web experience that other browsers can.

Thankfully, when you're on the mobile apps that support multiple services (usually Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Yahoo, and IMAP accounts), you can unsubscribe across all the services. Want to unsubscribe from mail in a big batch? Several services make it possible. The downside is that you have to give these services complete access to your inbox for them to find messages with an unsubscribe option; sometimes that includes access to your contacts or even your calendar. Like Heinlein said: TANSTAAFL. Years ago we gave SaneBox a perfect 5-star score in a review that said, among other superlatives, that "SaneBox is the best thing that has happened to email since email's invention." That Editors' Choice pick stands-SaneBox hasn't even upped its prices in the intervening years. SaneBox uses some artificial intelligence to improve the contents of your inbox. The video above shows how you can train the your inbox to keep your efficiency up. But how do you use it to clean up all that unwanted email?
